Feltham was where Gordon spent quite a few years of his life. The town derives its name from the sturdy Feltham First pea grown in the area.

The Rotary Club of Feltham UK is in District 1145. It was chartered on 21 March 1940 and its six members are led by President Phillip Rowling. They meet at 6.30pm on Tuesday at The Assembly Hall, The Fairholme Estate, Bedfont Middlesex. Their projects include:

Dictionary4Life Each year the Club delivers around 700 illustrated dictionaries to Year 5 students in the eleven schools in Bedfont, Feltham and Hanworth. The initiative is funded by the annual Christmas Collection held at the Tesco Store in Feltham High Street

Kids Out Each year along with other Rotary clubs, Feltham organises a day out for children with special needs. Money is raised to send a coachload of physically handicapped students from Feltham College to Chessington World of Adventure.

Contact the Elderly A Fish n' Chip Supper was held to thank those whose help made the Christmas Collection so successful and to present cheques to worthy causes including the Bedfont Old People's Party and the Feltham History Society.

ShelterBox Emergency Aid to Disaster Areas Whenever there's a disaster in the world you can be sure Rotary will respond, even a small club like Feltham.
