The Club has received great support from local MLA Dr Mike Nahan who included the following article in his recent Newsletter.

The Willetton Rotary Community Fair was once again an outstanding success, with thousands of residents flocking to Burrendah Reserve on Sunday April 2nd to enjoy a wonderful fun filled day out with the family.

The weather was absolutely spectacular, with organisers unable to wish for a better day from the weather gods. Hundreds of local businesses, charities, schools and other community groups came out in force to connect with the Willetton community, it was fantastic to see – in fact I understand there were around 180 different stalls!

I was able to pick some lovely orchids for my wife Nyuk, and thoroughly enjoyed catching up with Lyn, Ron and Bill from the Riverton RSL who were talking to local residents about the great work that the Riverton RSL does in our local community.

A significant amount of work goes into organising these types of events, with the members of the Rotary Club of Willetton  investing months of hard work to make sure this year’s Fair was better than ever. I was especially pleased to be able to able to present the Rotary Club of Willetton with a cheque of $12,000 a few months ago on behalf of Healthway to help put on this year’s Fair.

While next year’s Fair is still a long way off, those who are interested in organising a stall for 2018 are encouraged to contact the Rotary Club of Willetton by emailing faircontroller@gmail.com.
